In May 2005, the County of Ventura's Human Service Agency, Office of Work/Family published the "Guide to Becoming a Child Care Provider in Ventura County".  This project was funded through a Workforce Investment Act Incentive Award from the Ventura County.

These guides take you step by step through the planning and development stages of creating your own child care business, offers marketing and financial tips, and provides an excellent list of child care resources.  The guides are for both center-based and family-based programs:
