CalWORKS (California Work Opportunities and Responsibilities to Kids)
Through the county's CalWORKs program, a team of employment specialists and counselors can help parents develop and achieve their goals to obtain and keep a job, advance their career and find quality childcare that matches their work schedule. They will help parents review their job skills and develop a training and employment action plan to find the job that suits their skills and interests.

WorkLife Program (County of Ventura)
County employees are eligible for discounts at a number of childcare centers and preschools around the County. The Preschool/Childcare Discount Program booklet for 2006-2007 lists preschools and childcare centers offering discounts to County employees.

Children First Ventura County
The Children First Ventura County provides developmental screening, PHN case management, and health education services to children 0-5 years of age, their families and caregivers. Ventura County Office of Education
Ventura County encompasses 20 school districts, 3 community colleges, and a four year university that opened its doors for students in the Fall of 1999. Our K-12 public school population approaches an enrollment of 130,000 with educational opportunities as diverse as the districts we serve. The Ventura County Office of Education provides quality services and support for life-long learning opportunities.

First 5 Ventura County provides, on a community-by-community basis, all children prenatal to five years of age with a comprehensive, integrated system of early childhood development services. Children's Home Society
The mission of CHS is to reach out to children and families at risk with a range of services to ensure every child the opportunity to develop within a safe, healthy, and secure environment.  Child Care and Development Services are available to assist low-income parents in achieving self-sufficiency, to promote quality child care by providing resources and training to child care providers, and to provide education and resources to parents
