Child Development Permits
In California, there are three state agencies and two sets of government regulations that control service in the care, development, and instruction of children in a child care and development program.

Child Development Training Consortium (CDTC)
The CDTC is a statewide program funded by the California Department of Education, Child Development Division (CDE/CDD) with federal Child Care and Development Quality Improvement funds. The program is administered by the Yosemite Community College District. The CDTC has two funding sources to pay the application processing fees for first-time, renewing, and upgrading of the six levels of the Child Development Permit. The CDTC will also reimburse first-time permit applicants $56 of the Live Scan fingerprinting processing fee.

The Credential staff for the Ventura County Office of Education provide services for obtaining various types of credentials in California, renewing a California credential, or adding authorizations to existing credentials.
