The State of California contracts with Tri-Counties Regional Center to provide supports and services for children and adults with developmental disabilities living in San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. In January 2005, a new law called the Family Cost Particpation Program (FCPP) went into effect requiring parents of children with special needs to share in the cost of certain services provided through Tri-Counties Regional Center.
