Child Care Planning Council Committee

The Child Care Planning Council of Ventura County
meets the second Tuesday of each month at the Ventura County Office of Education Conference and Educational Services Center, 5100 Adolfo Road, Camarillo from 9:00-11:00 a.m. These meetings, as well as those conducted by the CCPC's standing committees, are governed by the Brown Act and are open to the public.

In September 2005 the Strategic Plan Ad Hoc Committee was formed and, with the help of CCPC's collaborative partners and the assistance of a consultant from K&M Enterprises, created the Child Care Planning Council of Ventura County Stragtegic Plan July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2009.  The three-year strategic plan is designed to guide the CCPC and its committees towards the overall goal of providing a high quality child care system that adequately, appropriately, efficiently, and cost-effectively meets the needs of children, families and early care and education professionals in Ventura County.

Beginning September 2006, the following committees will meet on a regular basis to develop strategies for the realization of the goals, objectives, and activities outlined in the 2006-2009 strategic plan:

  • Educate parents, the community, and public officials about the importance of high quality child care, and how to identify and access high quality child care
  • Recognize existing child development professionals

Executive Committee:
This committee is comprised of the chair and vice-chair of the CCPC, last year's chair, standing committee co-chairs, and a representative from the leading educational agency, or LEA (Ventura County Office of Education).
