STIPENDS:
FISCAL YEAR 2010-2011:  In June 2008, the CARES (Comprehensive Approaches to Raising Educational Standards) and AB212 Stipend Projects combined to provide a single application process for both private and public-funded child development programs. The ECE Stipend Project encourages early childhood education (ECE) professionals to obtain higher levels of education by awarding monetary stipends to selected participants who meet specific eligibility criteria and complete approved college units that apply towards the Child Development Permit and/or a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Development.

OTHER PROJECTS:
The CCPC 's Quality Child Care Tote Bag Project has provided tote bags containing brochures and other literature regarding quality child care, health and safety, and growth and development, as well as Kammi (teething doll) and Ookie (soft cloth for baby) dolls, to groups and organizations that support families. This cost-recovery project is making the tote bags and dolls available for purchase to Ventura County residents.  Local agencies serving families with children 0-5 years of age may qualify for up to 20 free tote-bags.  All items purchased/donated must be picked up at the CCPC office in Camarillo.  If interested, please contact the CCPC: lhart@vcoe.org.
